This was the ideal trip. 4 days in the rain forest followed by 4 days on the beach. We had the chance to rappel down cascading waterfalls deep into a canyon, trek through the rainforest, zip line from tree to tree high above the jungle floor, and surf the waves of the Pacific. But we also had time to do absolutely nothing...relaxing at the hot springs, listening to howler monkeys outside our jungle hut, gazing at the erupting volcano, and laying on the beach.
